Saturday 16th September the sixth edition of Mesum Harvest!
Mesum is a wine with an ancient flavour.
It’s our tribute to the tradition of this land and to the work of the peasants: a wine of mild sweetness, respectful of nature, faithful to a centuries-old history.
In respect of the tradition, cement, plastic and iron wire were not used in the vineyard: only local chestnut poles and natural material.
In this vineyard we fully realize our biological and biodynamic philosophy.
Having planted resistant varieties, the vines do not require any phytosanitary treatment. The work is done in a completely manual way, without the use of motorized machinery.
Grapes are hand-picked and crushed with feet. The wine ferments and refines in an amphora of terracotta, remaining on its skins for months.
Saturday 10th first of all we will tell you why our tradition does matter so much to us. Then we will pick the grapes of the Vigneto dell’Aquila to press them as they used to be pressed once.
To follow we will share a rich medieval snack accompanied by Mesum.
The event starts at 4 pm and ends at 7 pm
It is a limited number event, reservation is required.
